December 6th - "God Himself"

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."    Revelation 21:3-4

Think about it! God Himself shall wipe away every tear from your eye. What a personal God we serve. He is not some uncaring mystical spirit that is totally detached from us. No, He is intimately involved with us. Oh what a blessed thought. One day all the toil, all the heartache, all the sickness shall have passed away and all things will become new. There in His Presence we will rejoice for eternity. So much is riding upon how we live our earthly lives that we cannot afford to falter. Eternity is waiting.

"Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them."    Hebrews 11:16
